An ambassador of God to the
Ukraine

Carpathian Mountain Outreach

While participating in Carpathian Mountain Outreach(CMO), I will live in L'viv. I will share an apartment with several other men participating in CMO.

The first week we are there we will receive a course in basic Ukrainian. This will teach us how to read their alphabet, say basic phrases, and read important signs. We will also go through a basic chalk-art course, which we will use later for street-preaching.

On weekends we will make trips into the mountains by trains and foot to reach remote villages. On Saturdays we will meet with the leader(s) of a village and ask permission to show the film The Light of the World when we return the following week. If we receive permission, we will spend the remainder of the day passing out invitations and putting up posters for the showing the following week. We will camp outside the village that night.

We will break camp Sunday morning and hike to the next village, which was visited the previous week. We will enter the town and set up to show The Light of the World. A salvation message will be given after the film is over. At the close of the service we will pass out copies of Good and Evil and distribute invitations to subscribe to our Bible correspondence course. We will depart from this village and return to L'viv.

This will be repeated every weekend. First visiting a new village and receiving permission for a showing of the film. Then going to the village visited the previous week to show the film.

Mondays and Tuesdays are our week-end. These days are used to do any housekeeping chores that may be needed and to clean and maintain our equipment. There will also be some recreational time.

Wednesday through Friday is back to work! On these days we will be distributing tracts and Bible literature, and street preaching; sometimes with the aid of chalk art.

There will be team meeting and/or devotional every morning except Monday and Tuesday.

That is pretty much the schedule for the three months I will be there.
